A well-established U.S. law firm is seeking a tax partner to join its Kansas City office. This role will lead and grow a commercial tax practice, advising businesses and high-net-worth individuals on corporate, transactional and tax planning matters.

The role suits an experienced partner who can develop local client relationships, work collaboratively across practices, and contribute to business development and firm leadership in the region. Candidates with a portable practice or demonstrable client generation track record are encouraged to apply.

Proven partner-level tax experience advising on corporate and transactional tax matters.
Active state bar admission and strong technical tax knowledge; CPA or LL.M in Tax a plus but not required.
Demonstrable business development ability; portable practice or a track record of originating clients preferred.
Strong communication and client-management skills; able to work across practice groups and mentor junior lawyers.
