Apply in confidence →National real estate practice is seeking a leasing attorney with significant commercial leasing experience to join its US Real Estate Group. This role is open to candidates across multiple US offices and offers hybrid working.
The successful candidate will act as lead counsel on drafting and negotiating commercial leases and related agreements, supervise junior lawyers, and work directly with clients, brokers, property managers and opposing counsel. Experience with office, industrial, retail and life‑science leases is valued; solar leasing experience is a plus.
The team handles a high volume of leasing matters and seeks lawyers who can produce quality work efficiently while exercising strong commercial judgment.
- JD and active bar admission in the jurisdiction where you will practice
- Minimum ~5 years' experience drafting and negotiating commercial leases and lease‑related documents (LOIs, work letters, SNDAs, lender & tenant agreements)
- Experience across multiple property types (office, retail, industrial, life‑science preferred)
- Substantial experience representing landlords and strong negotiating skills
- Excellent communication, drafting, project management and client‑service skills; ability to supervise junior attorneys
- Comfort working in a hybrid, multi‑office US environment
