Short-term legal consulting assignments supporting commercial and contract work across the UAE. Assignments are typically full-time for around six months with options for remote or hybrid working and include visa support and local registration assistance where required.

The role focuses on drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements (supply, procurement, JV, distribution, shareholder and service contracts) and advising on regulatory and corporate issues arising under UAE federal law, free zone regimes and applicable Sharia principles. Consultants will work alongside in-house teams and external stakeholders on complex, project-driven matters across sectors such as energy, tech, logistics and defence.

This is a consulting/interim engagement that suits lawyers who are comfortable operating with autonomy, managing client relationships on an assignment basis and adapting to diverse commercial environments in the region.

Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in commercial/contracts work.
Proven track record drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements.
Knowledge of UAE federal law, common free zone rules and how Sharia principles can affect commercial transactions; Middle East experience advantageous.
Practising certificate or equivalent permitting legal practice in the region and eligibility for local registration.
Strong commercial judgment, excellent drafting and stakeholder-management skills; Arabic language ability a plus.
