Apply in confidence →Interim consultant roles (typical assignments six months+) supporting construction and infrastructure matters across the United Arab Emirates. Assignments may be based in Abu Dhabi or Dubai and can be full-time or offer flexible working arrangements.
Work will be non-contentious and focused on drafting and negotiating construction contracts (including FIDIC and bespoke forms), O&M and FM agreements, and providing regulatory and commercial advice to developers, contractors and public-sector clients across power, transport, buildings and related infrastructure projects.
Candidates will join a global law firm’s consultant platform and will be supported with training, development resources and access to experienced firm lawyers while working on client or firm-led assignments.
- Minimum 8 years' post-qualification experience in non-contentious construction and infrastructure law.
- Proven experience drafting and negotiating FIDIC and bespoke construction contracts, plus O&M/FM documentation.
- Experience on projects such as power, transport, buildings or other infrastructure works.
- Background at a top-tier law firm for construction/projects; recent in-house experience within energy, transport or infrastructure organisations is desirable.
- Prior work in the Middle East and Arabic language ability preferred; practising certificate or equivalent permitting practice in the region required.
- Consultant mindset: adaptable, client-focused and comfortable managing a self-directed interim career.
