12-month, full-time (hybrid) opportunity based in Sydney for an experienced governance lawyer. You will join a flexible legal resourcing team supporting a major organisation's corporate governance and transformation workstreams.

The role focuses on board and committee governance, company secretariat practices, governance uplift/remediation projects and advising senior stakeholders on governance frameworks, reporting and accountability. The engagement requires working closely with project teams, company secretaries and executives to deliver sustainable governance outcomes in a highly regulated environment.

  • 5–10 years' PQE in corporate governance from private practice or in-house roles
  • Demonstrated experience supporting governance functions within listed entities, regulators, government bodies or large corporates
  • Proven track record in governance transformation, uplift or remediation and managing governance workstreams in programme environments
  • Strong stakeholder management, project management and written communication skills; strategic and pragmatic approach to governance issues
  • Current Australian practising certificate and right to work in Australia
