12-month, full-time (hybrid) opportunity based in Sydney for an experienced governance lawyer. You will join a flexible legal resourcing team supporting a major organisation's corporate governance and transformation workstreams.

The role focuses on board and committee governance, company secretariat practices, governance uplift/remediation projects and advising senior stakeholders on governance frameworks, reporting and accountability. The engagement requires working closely with project teams, company secretaries and executives to deliver sustainable governance outcomes in a highly regulated environment.

5–10 years' PQE in corporate governance from private practice or in-house roles
Demonstrated experience supporting governance functions within listed entities, regulators, government bodies or large corporates
Proven track record in governance transformation, uplift or remediation and managing governance workstreams in programme environments
Strong stakeholder management, project management and written communication skills; strategic and pragmatic approach to governance issues
Current Australian practising certificate and right to work in Australia
