An established international legal team is seeking a Legal Counsel to support regional corporate and technology matters from the San José office. The role sits within the Office of General Counsel and will provide transactional and advisory support across Latin America, working closely with global OGC colleagues.

Day-to-day work focuses on negotiating, drafting and reviewing high-volume client and vendor contracts, with emphasis on technology agreements (SaaS, DPA, licensing, IT services). The role also supports vendor due diligence, sanctions and compliance reviews, corporate secretarial tasks and cross-border projects such as new office openings.

Licenciatura degree and active bar licence in the relevant jurisdiction
Approximately 5 years' post-qualification experience in a law firm or in-house environment on commercial/technology contracts and related corporate work
Demonstrated experience with technology agreements (SaaS, cloud, IT services) and data processing addenda
Fluency in English required; additional languages (Portuguese advantageous)
Familiarity with international data privacy (e.g. GDPR), sanctions, AML/KYC and vendor due diligence processes
Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical and stakeholder-management skills; able to work in a fast-paced, cross-border environment
