Life Sciences Licensing Associate — Intellectual Property (Washington, DC)

Mid-level associate position on a life sciences licensing team in Washington, DC. The role focuses on intellectual property and technology transactions supporting life sciences and biotechnology clients, including licensing, collaborations, and technology transfer work.

Key responsibilities include drafting and negotiating patent, trademark and technology licenses, collaboration and joint-development agreements, SaaS and services contracts, distribution agreements, and conducting IP/technology-transaction due diligence for corporate matters. The team combines collaborative project work with opportunities to manage substantial components of transactions independently.

• 3–4 years post-qualification experience in IP licensing, technology transfer or related technology transactions
• Demonstrable experience drafting and negotiating patent and trademark licenses, collaboration agreements, technology/service agreements (including SaaS), and distribution agreements
• Experience performing IP and technology-transaction due diligence for corporate deals
• Ability to work collaboratively in teams and to manage substantial transaction components independently
• Strong academic credentials and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Relevant bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly
