Apply in confidence →Seeking a litigation attorney to serve as Special Counsel supporting a Construction practice group on single-family housing matters. This is a full-time, non-partner track role open in multiple Florida offices (Jacksonville, Miami, Orlando, Tampa).
The position handles a high volume of matters that frequently proceed in arbitration rather than circuit court, so candidates must be self-motivated, comfortable working autonomously, and able to manage competing deadlines in an office setting.
This role offers responsibility for drafting and litigating motions, conducting discovery and depositions, participating in mediations/arbitrations, and contributing to case resolution and settlement strategies.
- J.D. from an ABA‑accredited law school and active, good‑standing membership in the Florida Bar
- 3–7 years of civil litigation experience, preferably with construction, design‑defect, and insurance‑related matters
- Strong legal research and writing skills; experience drafting pleadings and motions
- Experience conducting discovery, taking/defending depositions, and arguing motions in court; some trial experience preferred
- Familiarity with arbitration and mediation processes; proven ability to settle cases
- Strong organizational/time management skills; prior experience supervising paralegals or support staff a plus
