Apply in confidence →Join a London-based infrastructure real estate team advising on nationally significant energy and transport projects. The role focuses on land rights, consenting and compulsory purchase processes that support large-scale infrastructure delivery.
You will handle statutory acquisition powers (including Transport Works Act Orders, CPOs and Development Consent Orders), land and works agreements, and related property issues such as land registration, landlord & tenant, property tax and contaminated land. The position involves client-facing work, tight project timetables and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
The team delivers end-to-end property support for major infrastructure programmes and housing-related work, working closely with planning, construction, environmental and finance specialists. The role includes supervision of paralegals and junior lawyers and active contribution to developing the practice.
- Qualified solicitor (SRA or Law Society registered) able to work autonomously
- Strong real estate experience on major infrastructure projects
- Practical knowledge of compulsory purchase regimes and statutory powers
- Experience supervising junior team members and managing project timelines
- Good commercial, client-facing and project management skills; familiarity with construction and environmental issues affecting property transactions
