Senior managing attorney role supporting the Washington, D.C. litigation practice. The role works with the Director of Managing Attorney’s Offices to develop and implement best practices for docketing, electronic filing, and procedural compliance across D.C. state and federal courts.

Key responsibilities include reviewing court filings for form and procedural accuracy, conducting procedural legal research, advising litigators on motion practice and service of process, and maintaining calendar and docket accuracy using CM/ECF and firm docketing systems.

The role also monitors rule changes and new cases, coordinates with process servers and court personnel as needed, and supports department projects to improve filing and calendaring workflows.

  • Admission to the Washington, D.C. bar required.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Managing Attorney’s Office at a large law firm.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of D.C. federal and state court rules and procedures, including CM/ECF and common docketing/calendaring tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Experience supervising or coordinating administrative staff preferred.
