You will develop and implement best practices for electronic filing and docket management, review court papers for form and procedural compliance, and advise litigators on local and federal procedural issues.
The role works closely with the office leadership team to monitor rule changes, coordinate service of process, manage CM/ECF and state e‑filing, and perform quality control on docket and calendar entries. The position requires regular use of court databases and calendaring tools to ensure timely notifications and accurate deadlines.
- Admission to the Washington, D.C. Bar
- Bachelor’s degree (required)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a managing attorney or docketing office at a large law firm
- Experience supervising staff in a managing attorney or filings office preferred
- Deep working knowledge of D.C. federal and local court rules, CM/ECF, and state e‑filing systems
- Strong written and verbal communication, high attention to detail, and ability to manage competing deadlines
