Growing corporate team seeks a transactional associate to join the Mergers & Acquisitions group on a full-time, partnership-track basis in the Richmond office. The role focuses on private merger and acquisition transactions, with regular exposure to private equity deals and related securities and corporate governance matters.

The team looks for candidates who will contribute substantively on deal execution, drafting, due diligence and client counseling within a collaborative environment. Virginia bar membership must be obtained within one year of hire.

4–6 years post-qualification transactional experience (class of 2022–2020)
Substantial experience in private M&A and private equity transactions; public M&A, securities and corporate governance experience a plus
Strong academic record and excellent analytical and writing skills
Proven ability to work effectively on deal teams and manage client-facing responsibilities
Admission to the Virginia bar, or eligible and willing to obtain admission within one year
