Mid-Level Capital Markets & M&A Associate — Washington, D.C.

Established national firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Corporate, M&A and Securities practice in Washington, D.C. The role focuses on capital markets work and public-company compliance, with exposure to transactional M&A matters.

The successful candidate will work on public and private offerings of debt and equity, prepare Exchange Act filings (Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and proxy statements), advise on disclosure, corporate governance and stock exchange reporting, and interact with regulators. • 3–5 years' securities/corporate experience (capital markets and public company reporting)
• Experience representing issuers in public and private offerings of debt and equity
• Familiarity with SEC interaction and preparation of Exchange Act filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxies)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, sound business judgment, and ability to manage client relationships
• Excellent academic credentials; experience at a large regional, national or international firm preferred
