Mid-Level M&A Associate — Corporate (M&A)

Top-tier national firm is seeking a mid-level M&A associate to join its Transactions practice across multiple U.S. offices (Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, New York, Salt Lake City, or Washington, DC). The role focuses on U.S. and cross-border middle‑market and private equity M&A transactions and suits a proactive deal‑runner who can manage matters with limited supervision and work directly with partners, senior associates and clients.

The team is collaborative and development‑focused, offering substantive client engagement and responsibility on complex corporate deals. Strong drafting, communication and business‑savvy skills are important, as is a collegial attitude and commitment to professional growth.

The firm provides a stated salary range of $290,000–$390,000 for this position and a comprehensive benefits package.

• 4–6 years of transactional M&A experience (U.S. and cross‑border middle‑market and private equity deals preferred)
• Strong drafting, negotiation and deal management skills; ability to run matters with limited supervision
• Excellent interpersonal and business development aptitude
• JD from an ABA‑accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing; timely admission to the hiring office jurisdiction required
• Strong academic credentials and a demonstrated work ethic
