Mid/Senior Associate, Private Equity M&A (Asset Management) — New York

Seeking a mid-to-senior level associate to join a busy private equity M&A team in New York with a strong asset-management focus. The role centers on transactional work across asset management M&A, including GP-stakes transactions, with opportunity to work on leveraged recapitalizations, growth equity, VC exits, and equity compensation matters.

The team handles collaborative, cross-practice transactions; the successful candidate will manage deal components independently, coordinate with internal and external counsel, and contribute commercially minded legal advice to clients. Bar admission (or prompt eligibility) in the New York office is required.

• 3+ years' post-qualification transactional experience (private equity/asset management focus)
• Demonstrated asset-management M&A experience; GP-stakes experience preferred
• Broad corporate transactional background (M&A, recaps, growth equity/VC, equity compensation)
• Proactive, strong commercial judgment, excellent written and oral communication
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently; manage client and counsel relationships
• Bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly in New York
