Mid‑Senior Associate — Private Equity M&A, New York

Leading US law firm seeks a mid‑ to senior‑level associate to join a busy Private Equity group in the New York office. The role focuses on asset‑management M&A with significant exposure to GP‑stakes transactions and other sponsor‑side deals.

Successful candidates will handle substantive transactional work across M&A, leveraged recapitalizations, growth equity, venture capital exits and equity compensation matters. The team values collaborative contributors who can also manage deal components independently and maintain strong client and counterparty relationships.

Bar admission (or prompt eligibility) for the New York office is required.

• 3+ years of corporate/transactional experience (private equity or asset management focus)
• Demonstrated experience in asset management M&A; GP‑stakes experience preferred
• Broad transactional background (M&A, leveraged recaps, growth equity, VC exits, equity compensation)
• Strong drafting, communication and client management skills; able to work independently and in teams
• Bar admission or eligibility in the New York jurisdiction
