A well-established national law firm is expanding its bankruptcy and restructuring platform in the San Francisco office and is seeking a lateral partner to lead and grow the practice. The role will focus on both lender-side high-yield and distressed-debt matters as well as debtor-side bankruptcy and restructuring engagements.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative team handling complex restructurings and workouts, take a lead role on matters, and drive business development in the region. This is an opportunity to shape a growing practice group within an experienced transactional and restructuring platform.

A portable practice and demonstrable client relationships will be an important factor in the search.

Established partner with significant, substantive experience in bankruptcy, restructuring and distressed / high-yield debt transactions
Proven track record on lender-side and debtor-side matters, including workouts, restructurings and related litigation
Demonstrable business development skills and a portable practice or client relationships
Licensed to practice in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction and able to work from the San Francisco office
