Leading law firm seeks a lateral partner to build and lead its compliance and environmental practice in the Raleigh office. The role focuses on regulatory counseling and environmental matters, with an emphasis on state environmental review and permitting processes.

The successful candidate will advise corporate and public-sector clients on regulatory compliance, environmental risk management, and related enforcement matters. CEQA or comparable state environmental review experience is highly desirable.

This is a partner-level opening where bringing or developing a portable practice and client relationships will be an important component of success.

Partner-level experience in environmental law, regulatory counseling, or compliance practice
Demonstrated experience with environmental review/permitting (CEQA or similar state processes preferred)
Proven client-development skills and ability to grow a portable practice
Track record of leading teams and managing client matters
Active bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction or ability to obtain admission
