Leading national law firm seeks a lateral partner to join its Compliance & Regulatory group in New York focused on the insurance sector. The role involves counseling insurers and other regulated entities on regulatory matters, compliance programs, licensing, and interaction with state and federal regulators.

The team advises on regulatory risk management, policy development, supervisory matters, and transactional regulatory issues. This is a partner-level role expected to develop and expand a market-facing insurance regulatory practice.

Candidates with an established portable practice or demonstrable client relationships in the insurance space are encouraged to apply; the role will support business development and client retention efforts.

Ten-plus years' experience advising on insurance regulation and compliance, including interactions with insurance regulators
Proven partner-level track record of originating or growing client work in insurance or financial services
Strong technical knowledge of insurance licensing, solvency, market conduct and regulatory frameworks
Good business development skills and ability to lead client teams; portable business welcome
Bar admission in New York (or ability to transfer admission) and strong academic credentials
