Established global law firm seeks a partner to join its Chicago corporate team with a focus on M&A, capital markets and technology transactions. The role spans transactional work and strategic client development across corporate, securities and technology/IP matters.

The team regularly advises emerging-growth companies, issuers in capital-raising transactions and technology clients on commercial and IP-related aspects of deals. You will work with cross‑office, sector-focused groups covering life sciences, technology, financial services and energy.

Partner-level candidate with an established transactional and/or capital markets practice (M&A, PE, issuer-side capital markets, or technology transactions).
Proven experience handling IP-related transactional issues or coordinating with IP litigation teams.
Track record of originating and developing client work; portable client relationships or demonstrable business development capability preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively across offices and industry groups; comfort advising growth-stage and corporate clients in regulated sectors.
