Established law firm seeks a lateral partner to join its Energy & Environmental practice in the Kansas City office. The role will focus on counseling energy companies and other regulated entities on environmental and transactional matters, leading engagements and growing client relationships.

The team handles cross-disciplinary matters across permitting, regulatory compliance, transactional support and project development. The firm is open to candidates nationwide and welcomes partners with a portable practice aligned with core industry groups.

Proven partner-level experience in energy and environmental law, with a track record of leading matters and managing teams.
Demonstrated client development / rainmaking ability and an established portable practice preferred.
Strong knowledge of environmental regulatory regimes, permitting, and transactional support for energy projects.
Excellent written and oral advocacy skills and experience supervising associates and collaborating across practice groups.
Active bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction or willingness to seek admission.
