Senior hire sought to build and lead an energy-focused practice in Sioux Falls with a mix of environmental, regulatory, transactional and litigation work. The role will advise energy and infrastructure clients on regulatory compliance, permitting, project development and commercial disputes.

The partner will handle a range of matters including transactional support for projects, regulatory advocacy before state and federal agencies, and contested litigation. The position offers autonomy to shape practice strategy, collaborate with cross-office teams, and develop client relationships across the region.

Candidates with an established portable practice or demonstrable client relationships in energy, infrastructure or regulatory work are encouraged to apply. This is a partner-level seat for an attorney who can grow revenue and mentor more junior lawyers.

Experience at partner or senior counsel level in energy, environmental or regulatory matters.
Proven litigation and transactional experience related to infrastructure or energy projects.
Track record of client development and ability to bring or expand business in the region.
Jurisdictional admission or eligibility to practice where the role is based; team leadership and mentoring experience.
