Partner — Energy & Project Finance — Washington, D.C.

Established international law firm is recruiting a partner to expand its Energy and Project Finance capability in Washington, D.C. The role will sit at the intersection of energy transactions, regulatory work and finance matters, with opportunities across renewables, infrastructure and related government/public policy work.

We are seeking a senior commercial lawyer who can originate and lead cross-border deals, advise on regulatory risk, and manage high-value client relationships. The team has active workstreams in project finance, regulatory approvals and energy-related financings; candidates with a mix of transactional and regulatory experience will be particularly well placed.

This is a partner-level opening where a portable practice and demonstrable client development track record are important. The firm is open to candidates who can bring a team or a portable book of business and who have experience working with sponsors, lenders and government stakeholders.

• Established partner-level experience in energy, project finance or related finance work.
• Demonstrable track record of originating and managing client relationships; portable practice or ability to build one preferred.
• Strong regulatory experience in energy or utilities, including dealings with government/public stakeholders.
• Proven ability to lead transactions and manage teams on complex, cross-border matters.
