Apply in confidence →Seeking a lateral partner to join a major international law firm’s Washington, D.C. office to lead and expand its environmental compliance and regulatory practice. The role will focus on counseling clients on complex environmental regulatory matters, with an emphasis on land-use and natural-resources issues; CEQA experience is highly desirable.
The successful candidate will advise across transactional, regulatory and enforcement matters, manage a team of lawyers, and work collaboratively with other practice groups. The role is suited to an experienced lawyer with an established client base or demonstrable business-development capabilities.
- Admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; Washington, D.C. bar preferred or ability to waive/transfer.
- Senior partner-level experience in environmental law, regulatory compliance, and related land-use/natural resources matters.
- Experience with CEQA and other state/local environmental review processes preferred.
- Proven track record of client development and ability to bring or grow portable business.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, and experience handling cross-disciplinary matters.
