Leading law firm seeks a lateral partner to join the Albany office to grow and lead a cross-practice Finance, Litigation and IP capability. The role will focus on patent litigation matters while partnering with transactional finance teams on leveraged and structured financings where IP issues arise.

The successful candidate will have an established litigation practice, experience running teams on complex patent matters, and a track record of originating and managing client relationships. This is a senior role with responsibility for business development, matter leadership and mentoring junior lawyers.

Established partner-level patent litigation practice with experience leading complex matters.
Proven business development record and a demonstrable portable client base.
Experience working with finance teams on leveraged/structured transactions a plus.
Admission to practice in the relevant US jurisdiction and strong team leadership skills.
