Leading national law firm seeks a partner to strengthen its life sciences intellectual property and patent practice in Silicon Valley. The role focuses on transactional matters and patent-related work for clients across the life sciences sector.

The successful candidate will lead client engagements, manage and develop a team of IP lawyers, and work closely with cross-practice colleagues on commercial and technology-driven matters. There is scope to grow and bring a portable practice.

This is a partner-level leadership role for a practitioner experienced in life sciences patents and related transactional work who can originate and maintain client relationships and contribute to strategic business development.

Established partner-level experience in life sciences intellectual property, including patent prosecution and patent-related transactional work.
Proven ability to originate and grow client relationships and to run a portable practice.
Track record of managing and mentoring junior lawyers and leading cross-functional deal teams.
Active bar admission and appropriate technical background for life sciences patent work.
