Senior hire sought for a busy municipal law team in Ottawa (candidate may be based in other Ontario offices with established municipal practices). The role focuses on planning & development, expropriation and broader municipal liability work across public-sector and quasi‑public clients.

The team is mid‑sized and looking for a lateral partner who can step into active matters, provide leadership on complex municipal files, and contribute to practice development. The firm is open to very senior practitioners, service partners without an existing book who bring key skills, or partners with a portable practice and clear origination potential.

Established partner-level experience in municipal law, with strong expertise in planning & development and expropriation.
Proven ability to manage complex municipal liability matters and lead teams or supervise junior lawyers.
Track record of client origination or a portable practice is an asset; senior service partners with specialist skills will be considered.
Eligible to practice in Ontario; flexibility to be based in Ottawa or another Ontario office with a municipal practice.
