Established international firm seeks a partner to join its Private Equity secondaries practice in New York. The role will focus on advising on secondary transactions in fund interests and related investment-manager and transfer documentation across buy- and sell-side matters.

This is an opportunistic hire: the team is building capability in secondaries and is looking for an experienced partner who can further develop the practice and work closely with existing corporate and investment management teams.

Portable business is important; the firm is prioritizing candidates with an identifiable client following and a proven track record on secondaries or related private equity work.

Established partner with significant experience on private equity secondaries or closely related fund/investment-management transactions.
Demonstrable track record on buy-side and/or sell-side secondary transactions and related documentation.
Ability to bring or grow client relationships; portable book of business required.
Strong commercial drafting, negotiation skills, and experience working cross-border with corporate and fund teams.
