Patent Associate — Intellectual Property (Electrical/Software) — Houston

Seeking a patent prosecution and litigation associate to join a US-focused intellectual property practice in Houston. The role combines prosecution, drafting patent applications, and supporting litigation matters across energy, high‑tech, and manufacturing sectors.

Ideal candidates have technical training in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field and will work with a national/international client platform. The position requires excellent written and oral communication, strong analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to manage matters subject to export control rules.

• 2–5 years' patent prosecution experience, including application drafting
• Degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or similar technical field
• Registered to practice before the USPTO
• Licensed to practice in Texas or able to obtain Texas bar admission
• Experience or interest in energy, software/AI, or manufacturing technologies; strong written and oral communication skills
