Seeking a junior to mid-level Patent Litigation Associate to join a busy Chicago-based intellectual property litigation team. The role involves handling all phases of patent litigation, including discovery, claim construction, motion practice and trial support on both offensive and defensive matters.

The team represents clients across technology-driven sectors — including telecommunications, software/hardware, financial services and manufacturing — and regularly handles complex, high-stakes disputes and cases involving non-practicing entities. Candidates with technical or scientific backgrounds will be well positioned to learn client technologies quickly.

The position offers substantial courtroom and client-facing experience, working alongside experienced litigators on case strategy, expert workups and dispositive motion practice.

Junior to mid-level associate with patent litigation experience or strong litigation foundation
Comfort with all phases of patent litigation: discovery, claim construction, motion practice and trial preparation
Technical or scientific background preferred (engineering, computer science, or related advanced degree advantageous)
Strong written and oral advocacy skills and ability to work collaboratively on large, technical matters
Active bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction or ability to obtain admission
