Patent Litigation Associate — Intellectual Property — Raleigh

Seek a junior to mid-level patent litigation associate to join a national IP litigation practice in the Raleigh office. The role will support complex patent disputes across technology sectors, including both plaintiff and defense matters and cases involving non-practicing entities.

Successful candidates will work on all phases of litigation — fact and expert discovery, motion practice, claim construction, depositions and trial preparation — as part of a collaborative team that frequently handles technically sophisticated matters.

The team values candidates with strong technical aptitude; many attorneys on the team hold advanced degrees in engineering or the sciences and routinely engage with clients across software, telecommunications, manufacturing and financial services.

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active admission or eligibility to be admitted in the hiring jurisdiction
• Junior to mid-level litigation experience with a focus on patent litigation (internships, clerkships or law firm experience)
• Comfort with technical subject matter; advanced degree in engineering, computer science or a related field preferred but not required
• Experience with discovery, motion practice, claim construction, and deposition preparation
• Strong writing, analytical and oral advocacy skills; ability to collaborate on team-driven matters
