The position involves drafting and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications, managing prosecution strategy and docketing, supporting prior‑art and freedom‑to‑operate analyses, and assisting with due diligence and post‑grant proceedings as needed. The team emphasizes collaborative work and technical precision.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with strong academic record
- Active registration in good standing with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
- Bar membership in the hiring state or eligibility for admission
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering; electrical engineering drafting experience preferred
- 2–4 years' patent prosecution experience (law firm or IP boutique)
- Proven ability drafting specifications, claims, and supporting disclosure for mechanical and electrical subject matter
- Strong written/verbal communication, docket management, and ability to meet competing deadlines
