Nationwide law firm with multiple U.S. offices has an immediate opening for a Senior Counsel in personal injury defense. The role is open to candidates in California (positions available in Los Angeles, Oakland, or fully remote within the firm s virtual office) and is not a partnership-track position.

The successful candidate will handle civil litigation matters with an emphasis on transportation claims and motor vehicle accidents, and will regularly appear and practice in California state court. Strong judgment, the ability to manage multiple matters under pressure, excellent interpersonal skills, and clear legal analysis and strategy communication are required.

The firm values diversity and inclusion and offers a comprehensive benefits package. The California salary range for this role is $165,000 to $185,000, commensurate with experience.

Active California bar license and residence in California
Minimum 5 years of civil litigation experience, with substantial exposure to personal injury and transportation/motor vehicle matters
Experience litigating in California state courts and familiarity with California civil procedure
Strong judgment, case-management skills, and ability to communicate strategy clearly
