An opportunity for a junior solicitor or legal executive to join a busy police/casualty claims team across multiple UK offices. You will manage a mixed caseload of pre‑litigated and litigated civil actions brought against police bodies, working with insurers, experts and counsel to deliver robust defence work.

Day‑to‑day duties include conducting and supervising litigation (including advocacy at hearings where appropriate), case management, client liaison, preparing pleadings and statements, and contributing to team development and client training. You will be expected to meet chargeable time and quality standards and keep up to date with legal developments.

Appointment is subject to satisfactory police vetting and residency criteria; candidates must be eligible to pass national police vetting before starting.

Qualified solicitor or legal executive with 0–3 years PQE
Experience or interest in defending civil claims (claimant-side experience considered)
Knowledge of litigation procedure/CPR and ability to undertake advocacy
Strong organisation, time‑management, communication and IT skills
Ability to manage a caseload of pre‑litigated and litigated claims and work collaboratively
Willingness/ability to complete police vetting and meet residency requirements
