Private Equity M&A Associate — Washington, DC

Mid- to senior-level associate role in a busy private equity and transactional practice based in Washington, DC. The team advises on a wide range of corporate matters, including buyouts, growth equity, recapitalizations, venture financings, exits and equity compensation.

The firm seeks an experienced, proactive associate who can work effectively on deal teams and run discrete transaction components independently. The group emphasizes collaboration across practices and geographies and looks for lawyers with strong commercial judgment and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• 4+ years of corporate/transactional experience, with significant private equity and M&A exposure
• Experience on leveraged recapitalizations, growth equity, venture capital and exit transactions; familiarity with equity compensation
• Proven ability to work on teams and manage transaction components independently
• Outstanding academic credentials and strong written and oral communication skills
• Relevant bar admission or prompt eligibility and an up-to-date deal sheet
