Public Entity Attorney — Municipal & Public Agency Litigation, Walnut Creek

A growing public agency & municipal law team is seeking a litigation attorney to join its Walnut Creek office. The role focuses on defending public entities and related general-liability matters in state and federal courts and administrative forums.

The successful candidate will handle discovery and initial pleadings, draft and argue motions, and take and defend depositions. This is a collaborative, fast-paced group that also provides counseling and transactional support to municipalities and special districts.

The team offers competitive compensation and benefits and is open to candidates with strong general-liability litigation backgrounds who have an interest in municipal/public-agency work.

• 2–15 years of civil litigation experience, with public-entity defense or general liability experience preferred
• Active admission to the California Bar
• Proven experience drafting pleadings and discovery, preparing and arguing motions, and taking/defending depositions
• Strong legal writing, analysis, docket/project management skills; able to work independently and in teams
