Patent-free opportunity for a real estate finance associate to join a national practice in the Washington, DC office. The role focuses on commercial real estate lending matters, working primarily with banks, insurance companies, debt funds and other lender clients.

Day-to-day work includes loan origination and documentation for mortgage and mezzanine financings, conducting title, survey, lease and related commercial property diligence, and supporting securitization or syndication transactions when needed. The position offers exposure to both lender-side and owner/operator or developer-side matters, including leasing.

Minimum 2 years of PQE in real estate finance or commercial lending
Experience representing lenders (banks, insurance companies, debt funds or similar)
Practical knowledge of title, survey, lease and commercial property diligence
Experience with loan origination and documentation for secured commercial real estate financings
Familiarity with mezzanine loans, CMBS/securitization or syndication is a strong plus
