Apply in confidence →Top-tier restructuring practice is seeking a finance-focused bankruptcy associate to join its Business Restructuring & Reorganization team in Washington, D.C. The role involves representing creditors and borrowers on liability-management transactions, debtor-in-possession (DIP) financings, bankruptcy exit financings, and special-situations financings.
Successful candidates will work on high‑profile, capital-structure representations and will have significant exposure to credit-focused clients such as hedge funds, CLOs, private equity investors and other financial institutions in both chapter 11 cases and out‑of‑court restructurings.
- Graduated law school in classes 2019–2023 (J.D. or equivalent)
- Substantive experience with liability management transactions, DIP financings, bankruptcy exit financings and/or special‑situations financings
- Experience representing creditors or borrowers (hedge funds, CLOs, private equity, other financial institutions preferred)
- Strong legal research, drafting and oral advocacy skills; ability to manage deal process on complex financings
