Leading restructuring practice is seeking a finance associate to join its Business Restructuring & Reorganization team in Orange County. This role is focused on financing work in distressed and special situations matters.

Ideal candidates will have experience representing creditors or borrowers on liability management transactions, debtor-in-possession (DIP) financings, bankruptcy exit financings and other special situations financings. Associates will work on top-of-capital-structure representations for hedge funds, CLOs, private equity funds and other financial institutions in both Chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings.

Juris Doctor; law school class years 2019 023 (or equivalent timing)
Significant experience on liability management, DIP financings, bankruptcy exit financings and/or special situations financings
Experience representing or advising creditors (hedge funds, CLOs, PE funds) or borrowers/issuers in distressed or restructuring contexts
Strong legal research, drafting and transactional skills; ability to work collaboratively on complex, time-sensitive matters
