Leading global law firm seeks a Senior AI & Innovation Counsel to embed AI and agentic tools into legal workflows and drive adoption across U.S. practice groups. This is a hands-on, player‑coach role within the U.S. Innovation team, partnering with attorneys, legal engineers, IT, KM and risk to translate legal needs into scalable, production-ready solutions.

The role combines matter-focused legal judgment with product and program delivery: you will validate AI outputs for professional and ethical standards, decompose matter workflows to identify high‑value use cases, support rapid prototyping, and help operationalize reusable playbooks and governance guardrails. This position includes people leadership and will help shape the AI & innovation lawyer function and roadmap.

JD required and active U.S. bar admission
Minimum seven years' experience as a practicing attorney or in innovation/knowledge management in professional services
Deep understanding of legal workflows and experience translating attorney requirements into technical specifications
Practical familiarity with AI tools, responsible AI considerations, data privacy/security, and legal technology delivery
Proven project and stakeholder management skills, with experience mentoring or leading small teams
