Apply in confidence →Leading national law firm is seeking a Senior Associate or Counsel to join its Energy Regulatory team. The role sits across multiple U.S. offices and will focus on advising energy-sector clients on regulatory and commercial matters in the electric power space.
Work will include drafting and negotiating transactional documents, handling regulatory filings and proceedings, and supporting M&A and financing diligence related to generation, interconnection and retail supply matters. Candidates should be comfortable working with cross-functional deal teams and regulatory counsel.
- 5+ years' post-qualification experience in the electric power sector or energy regulatory practice
- Experience drafting and negotiating power purchase agreements, tolling agreements, retail supply agreements, interconnection agreements, facility extension agreements and related commercial contracts
- Familiarity with diligence for M&A and financing transactions involving power assets
- Experience with administrative proceedings before state and federal utility regulators (e.g., PUC/FERC) is a plus
