A leading international law firm is seeking a Conflicts Attorney to join its growing conflicts and ethics team. This role involves independently analyzing conflicts of interest on new business, lateral hires, and merger candidates, and advising lawyers across U.S. and international offices on complex ethical issues.

The successful candidate will manage a substantial conflicts workload with minimal supervision, draft complex waivers and engagement letters, perform legal research, and provide strategic legal advice on sensitive practice management and ethics matters. This position offers flexibility in working hours to provide coverage for international offices across different time zones, with both early-start and late-finish options available.

The role is based in one of several U.S. offices and is not eligible for immigration sponsorship. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Juris Doctorate and a minimum of five (5) years of practice experience
At least two (2) years of experience as a Conflicts Attorney I or equivalent senior-level conflicts/ethics experience
Active member in good standing of a state bar, licensed to practice in the state of the office and residence
Thorough knowledge of the Rules of Professional Conduct and their application to law practice
Strong understanding of jurisdictional differences in conflicts rules and risk analysis
Proven ability to manage a large workload independently and meet deadlines
Excellent written and oral communication skills for interaction across U.S. and international offices
Solid understanding of business organizations and financing concepts
