Senior Associate — Commercial Insurance (Brisbane)

A leading Australian insurance practice is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Commercial Insurance (Financial Lines) team in Brisbane. You will work on policy coverage and defence across major insurance lines, with an emphasis on financial lines (D&O, management liability, professional indemnity), as well as general liability, property and life insurance matters.

The team acts for major Australian and London‑market insurers, brokers and underwriters, as well as multinational and national insureds. This is a collaborative, high‑performing group that offers exposure to significant disputes, regulatory matters and claims handling alongside experienced insurance lawyers.

• Minimum 5 years' post‑admission experience in insurance or commercial litigation practice.
• Substantive experience with general liability and professional indemnity; experience with financial lines (D&O/management liability) highly regarded.
• Proven drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills; strong written and verbal communication.
• Willingness and ability to mentor junior team members; excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
