Senior Associate / Special Counsel — Property Insurance, Brisbane

Senior Associate or Special Counsel opportunity within a national general insurance team based in Brisbane. The role focuses on property and construction insurance matters, including high-value property recoveries, first‑party indemnity disputes and property damage defence work.

You will run your own files with partner supervision, leading client interactions, preparing court documents and evidence, instructing experts and mentoring junior team members. The team acts for major insurers and corporates on a range of litigated insurance matters.

• Minimum 5 years post-admission experience in general insurance law
• Proven experience in property/construction recoveries, first‑party indemnity and defence work
• Experience running matters through court proceedings and managing files day‑to‑day
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers or paralegals
• Strong drafting, analytical, verbal communication and organisational skills
