Leading Australian private practice seeks a Lawyer or Senior Associate to join its Melbourne construction team. The role covers a broad mix of front‑end and back‑end construction work, including contract drafting and administration, Security of Payment matters and contested construction disputes.

The team offers hybrid working, a collaborative culture and structured support for development, mentoring and client work. You will collaborate with senior practitioners, manage files, and act as a point of contact for clients and other stakeholders.

Tertiary law qualification and current practising certificate
Minimum 4 years' post‑admission experience principally in construction law
Experience across front‑end (contracts, consultancy agreements, novations) and back‑end (claims, Security of Payment, litigated disputes) matters
Strong legal drafting, negotiation and commercial contract review skills
Proven ability to supervise, mentor and delegate to junior team members
Effective file/budget management, client service and stakeholder engagement skills
