An established practice is seeking a senior associate to join its Melbourne construction team, focused on project-side work. The role will handle construction contracts, risk allocation and advising on delivery and procurement across major projects.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative team advising developers, contractors and project stakeholders on contract drafting, negotiation and issue resolution through construction and defects phases. This is a hands-on role with client-facing responsibility and opportunity to work on complex, high-value projects.

Admitted lawyer in Australia with relevant construction law experience at senior associate level
Proven experience on project-side construction matters, including drafting and negotiating contracts and managing risk
Strong written and oral advocacy, commercial judgment and client management skills
Ability to work collaboratively in teams and manage matter workflow and external advisers
