Senior Associate, Corporate M&A — Beijing

Join a global corporate team in Beijing advising on domestic and cross-border M&A, private equity, joint ventures, foreign direct investment and general corporate matters. The role involves high-quality transactional and advisory work across multiple jurisdictions.

The successful candidate will support partners and senior lawyers on transactions, manage workstreams from diligence to closing, draft and negotiate transaction documents, and cooperate with colleagues across the firm's international network and with local counsel.

This is a senior transactional role suitable for a commercially minded lawyer who can take responsibility for client-facing work, supervise junior lawyers, and contribute to business development and practice growth.

• Strong experience in corporate M&A and private equity, including cross-border transactions and joint ventures.
• Proven ability to manage transaction workstreams independently (due diligence, drafting, negotiation, signing and closing).
• Excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills in English and Mandarin.
• PRC legal qualification preferred; additional qualification in England & Wales, Hong Kong, New York or another common-law jurisdiction advantageous.
• Commercial judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced transactional environment.
• Experience supervising and mentoring junior lawyers; collaborative and client-focused mindset.
