Senior Associate, Corporate M&A & Private Equity — Sydney

Senior role within a global M&A and private equity team advising on complex domestic and cross-border transactions. You will lead diligence, draft and negotiate acquisition, shareholder and financing documents, and coordinate with local counsel across jurisdictions.

The position involves direct client engagement, strategic advice on deal structure and risk, and mentoring more junior lawyers. You will work on high‑value, multi‑jurisdictional transactions under partner supervision within a market‑leading corporate practice.

• Admission in Australia, England & Wales or another Common Law jurisdiction
• 5–7 years PQE, currently at Senior Associate level
• Proven experience on complex M&A and private equity transactions, including cross‑border matters
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills; experience leading due diligence and managing external counsel
• Commercial awareness, excellent time management and the ability to work calmly across multiple deals
• Track record of coaching and developing junior lawyers
