Senior Associate — Labour, Employment & Workplace Safety, Sydney

Experienced employment lawyer wanted to join a national and global Labour, Employment & Workplace Safety team based in Sydney. The role combines advisory, transactional and contentious work for employer-side clients across industry sectors.

You will work closely with senior lawyers and with colleagues across other offices on matters including employment litigation, industrial relations, workplace health & safety investigations, executive employment arrangements, and employment aspects of corporate transactions and restructures. The work is varied, often urgent and sensitive, and offers hands-on responsibility and clear development opportunities.

• 5–8 years PQE in employment / workplace safety law at a well-regarded firm
• Proven experience across advisory and litigated employment matters (unfair dismissal, discrimination, industrial disputes, tribunals and court hearings)
• Experience advising on employment documentation, executive arrangements and compliance strategies
• Strong commercial judgment, high-quality drafting and advocacy skills, and the ability to manage sensitive, time-critical matters
• Client-focused, collaborative team player with business development awareness
