Our Melbourne office is seeking a Senior Associate to join our leading Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT), Data and IP Transactions practice. You will work as part of a global, one-team culture, advising on a wide range of technology, data, IP, and commercial transactions, including digital transformations, outsourcing, software development and licensing, SaaS/cloud projects, and infrastructure roll-outs.

You will also support clients on AI solutions, large-scale strategic sourcing programs, IP commercialisation, and data governance, privacy, cyber and information security matters. The role spans corporate M&A, restructurings and carve-outs, with the opportunity to collaborate with partners and colleagues across Australia, Asia-Pacific, Europe and the US.

Admission to practice as a lawyer in Australia or New Zealand
Senior Associate experience in a leading private practice firm or in-house legal team
Demonstrated experience in technology transactions, including drafting and negotiating agreements for software development, licensing, SaaS/cloud, outsourcing, and IP commercialisation
Strong drafting, analytical and negotiation skills, with meticulous attention to detail
A collaborative, commercial and pragmatic approach with the ability to communicate complex issues clearly
An innovative mindset, curious about AI and emerging technologies
